The Form Two National Assessment (FTNA) is a standardized assessment given to Form Two students in Tanzania each year. The assessment is designed to measure student achievement in English, Kiswahili, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.
The results of the FTNA are released in the form of a score, ranging from 0 to 100, which is used to indicate a student’s overall performance in the assessment. Scores are also used to rank students against one another and to measure the performance of schools.
The FTNA results are used by the government to inform educational policy and planning, as well as to provide a basis for the admission of students into secondary schools.
