Open Position: Planning Officer
Job Purpose:
The Planning Officer will assist with the Economists Talk Magazine Unit’s content production and strategic planning. This role involves coordinating various aspects of the editorial process to ensure timely and high-quality publication.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the creation of the magazine’s content strategy and editorial calendar.
- Collaborate with analysts, researchers, and contributors to obtain data and ensure timely contributions.
- Conduct editorial assessments to ensure content meets the magazine’s goals and standards.
- Assist with event planning and coordination related to the magazine’s themes.
- Work with the Senior Economist and Economist to integrate economic analysis into editorial content.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism, Planning, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Two or more years of experience in similar roles or editorial planning.
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Knowledge of economic theories and practices.
