Here are important dates, schedules, and deadlines on the UConn academic calendar for fall 2022.

  1. UConn move-in day fall 2022 for freshmen students is Friday, August 26, 2022 from 8:00am – 4:00pm.
  2. All campus change, transfers, and continuing student move-in day are from Saturday, August 27 to Sunday, August 28, 2022, from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. students can only bring one car to campus for move-in! Bring your UConn ID, photo ID, and student ID (PeopleSoft) with you. Residential Life will need this information to distribute keys and other check-in materials.
  3. UConn Fall semester classes start on Monday, August 29, 2022. The first day of fall 2022.
  4. Labor day holiday is Monday, September 5, 2022. No classes.
  5. Tuesday, September 6 2022 is the last day to file petitions for course credit by examination (Undergraduate students only).
  6. Courses dropped after Monday, September 12 2022 will have a “W” for withdrawal recorded on the academic record. It is the last day to add or drop courses without additional signatures (see Adding and Dropping Courses).
  7. Monday, September 19 2022 is the last day for students to make up Incomplete or Absence grades (Undergraduate students only) according to UConn academic calendar 2022-2023.
  8. Tuesday, September 20 – Monday, September 26 2022 is examinations for course credit by examination (Undergraduate students only).
  9. Friday, September 23 2022 is the deadline to apply for graduation and submit Final Plan of Study (Undergraduate, Master’s, 6th year, and graduate certificate students only) for conferral of a Fall 2022 degree.
  10. Dean’s signature is required to add courses on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 on the UConn academic calendar.
  11. Mid-semester progress reports are due to students from faculty on Friday, October 7, 2022.
  12. Monday, November 14 2022 is the last day to withdraw from a course.
  13. The last day to place courses on or remove from Pass/Fail grading (Undergraduate students only) is Monday, November 14, 2022.
  14. UConn Thanksgiving break 2022 is from Sunday, November 20 2022 to Saturday, November 26, 2022.
  15. Friday, December 2, 2022 is the last day for Master’s and Doctoral degree candidates to upload their final thesis and dissertation to Submittable and submit related paperwork to Degree Audit (degreeaudit@uconn.edu) for conferral of a Fall 2022 degree. It is recommended that students defend at least two weeks before this deadline to allow for revisions. Doctoral dissertation defense must be announced two weeks before defending. Plan A master’s students are not required to announce their defense.
  16. The last day of fall 2022 semester classes is Friday, December 9, 2022.
  17. Reading Days are Saturday, December 10 2022 to Sunday, December 11, 2022.
  18. UConn final examinations begin on Monday, December 12, and end on Sunday, December 18, 2022.
  19. Thursday, December 15 2022 is Reading Day.
  20. Conferral date for Fall 2022 degrees is Sunday, December 18, 2022. Final examinations for Plan B master’s students must be completed by this date according to UConn academic calendar.

  1. Registration for the Winter 2023 and Spring 2023 semesters via Student Administration System begins on Monday, October 24, 2022.
  2. UConn Spring 2023 semester classes start date is Tuesday, January 17, 2023.
  3. Monday, January 23, 2023 is the last day to file petitions for course credit by examination (Undergraduate students only).
  4. Courses dropped after Monday, January 30 2023 will have a “W” for withdrawal recorded on the academic record. It is the last day to add or drop courses without additional signatures.
