Purpose of the Role
The Engagement Lead for Mwanaspoti will oversee the development, execution, and optimization of digital content strategies to drive engagement and achieve business objectives. The role involves leveraging various digital channels to create compelling content that resonates with the target audience and fosters meaningful interactions. This position will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless delivery of content across different platforms.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and Execute Strategies: Create and implement comprehensive engagement strategies to increase reader loyalty, retention, and participation across digital and print platforms.
- Community Engagement: Actively engage with the audience through social media platforms, comment sections, and reader forums to cultivate a vibrant online community.
- Feedback and Discussion Facilitation: Foster dialogue, address reader feedback, and facilitate discussions around content.
- Content Promotion: Collaborate with editorial and marketing teams to effectively promote content across various channels, including social media, email newsletters, and events.
- Showcase Journalism: Identify opportunities to highlight journalism and engage new audiences.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze audience engagement metrics to track performance, identify trends, and inform decision-making.
- Data-Driven Optimization: Use data-driven insights to optimize engagement strategies and enhance the reader experience.
- Liaison and Advocacy: Serve as a liaison between the audience and internal teams, conveying reader feedback, suggestions, and concerns to relevant stakeholders.
- Partnerships and Collaborations: Explore opportunities for partnerships and collaborations with external organizations, influencers, and community groups to expand reach and amplify the message.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to editorial and content teams on best practices for engaging with readers and building a loyal audience base.
- Culture of Audience-Centric Journalism: Foster a culture of audience-centric journalism throughout the organization.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Academic: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism.
- Experience: 2-3 years of working experience.
