Job Opportunities at Ubunifu Engineering & Construction Company Limited Marine Storage Terminal (MST) – Tanks Construction Project.

Ubunifu Engineering & Construction Company Limited (UEC), a sub-contractor for Daqing Oilfield Construction Group Company Limited (DOCG), is currently undertaking construction activities at the Marine Storage Terminal (MST) in Chongoleani, Tanga Region. We are seeking qualified Tanzanian candidates for the following positions:

Available Positions:

  1. Riveter (30 positions)
  2. Welder (30 positions)
  3. Rigger (4 positions)
  4. Driver (4 positions)
  5. Scaffolder (15 positions)
  6. Anti-Corrosion Worker (30 positions)

General Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the specified role or related fields.
  • Licenses and Certifications:
    • Relevant licenses or certifications required for the position (e.g., driver’s license).
    • Valid certificate from an approved training company is mandatory.
  • Knowledge and Skills:
    • Proficiency in equipment operation, maintenance, and safety protocols.
    • Skilled in using tools, machines, or vehicles pertinent to the role.
    • Ability to read and interpret maps, blueprints, or technical documents, where necessary.
    • Mechanical or technical skills as required by the position.
  • Safety:
    • Knowledge of construction safety regulations and industry standards, including OSHA or similar regulations.
    • Commitment to safety practices and protocols to ensure a safe work environment.
    • Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Physical Fitness and Stamina:
    • Capability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects, working at heights, or long hours on the road.
    • Must be under 35 years of age.
    • Good physical condition to work in various weather conditions and environments.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Competence in using technology and equipment related to the job, such as GPS systems for drivers.
  • Communication and Teamwork:
    • Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members, supervisors, and stakeholders.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, ensuring a safe and productive workplace.

Employment Details:

  • Duration:
    • Employment will cover the entire construction period of the project.
  • Job Type:
    • Full-time employment.
  • Place of Work & Residency:
    • The job location is Chongoleani ward in Tanga city. UEC will provide food and camp accommodations in temporary facilities, and residing in the camp is mandatory for selected individuals.
