Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Zanzibar. The ideal candidate will possess strong data management abilities and be comfortable working flexible shifts, including both day and night. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient pharmacy operations, maintaining accurate records, and delivering outstanding patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and dispense prescriptions accurately under the guidance of a licensed pharmacist
- Manage and update patient records and prescription data with precision
- Utilize pharmacy management software and other computer systems effectively
- Perform inventory management tasks, including ordering, stocking, and verifying medications
- Provide excellent customer service, answering patient inquiries and offering medication information
- Assist in medication counseling, including guidance on drug interactions, side effects, and usage
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards, including HIPAA
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Pharmacy Technician certification program preferred
- Valid Pharmacy Technician license or certification
- Strong data management skills and experience with pharmacy software
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including day/night shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication skills and customer-oriented approach
- Previous pharmacy experience is advantageous but not mandatory
